About Us In 1928 our great uncle Hillman Buchser, having moved to West Los Angeles from Seattle, went into business for himself, the manufacture and installation of residential and commercial awnings. Under the direction of my dad, Cal Buchser, the business expanded to aluminum awnings and screen enclosures in the 1950’s; and, under my ownership the addition of sunrooms and solariums along with a new name, AAwnings and Sunrooms of Distinction. I offer over 35 years of experience in the awning and sunroom industry and look forward to passing on the legacy to my son Luke Buchser, who is currently an integral part of our installation team. My support comes from my wife Susie, Office Manager Cindy Birdsall and my sister Beverly Ullmann, with over 20 years experience in the awning industry.
